Does anyone really think that a ‘romantic’ remake of 1984 is a good idea? Apparently someone does because i09 via US weekly is saying that the absolutely terrible idea has been green-lit staring that actress from Twilight that everyone says acts like a plank of wood (I don’t, and can’t be bothered to, remember her name).
This idea is just bad on it’s face. 1984 is far and away not a love story. Yeah, there’s a romantic pairing involved, but only to illustrate how thoroughly screwed up that society is. If they try and give that book a happy ending, hate them.
